Short Description
The method consists of creating a digitalized collection of proverbs and sayings from the Danube countries. In this initiative, traditional sayings regarding bread, wine and herbs are collected by the participants and later compared and studied for similarities and differences between the countries, bearing in mind national and European identity.
Full Description
The proverbs and sayings were collected by older people and sent to the organizer. Small groups were formed, where the participants discussed the meaning and the story behind the proverbs, made research together and studied the message of the saying or proverb. In a later stage of the method, the final results of the working groups were collected on an international level, and all the research of the local groups was analysed and compared in a cultural, religious, historical and social context.

The organizer had launched a Call, where the aim of the initiative was explained to the potential participants from the Danube countries, who answered the call and expressed their willingness to take part in the development of this collection.

Individuals and groups of people from the target countries carried out research and found national proverbs and sayings concerning bread, wine and herbs, which they put together in a written form.

Groups of participants were formed, which met to discuss the historical and cultural context of the proverbs, striving to get closer to their original meaning and understand the situation behind these words of wisdom.

The papers of national and local groups regarding the meaning of proverbs, and the proverbs themselves, were sent to the organizer, who then appointed a team made of participants and experts to analyse the gathered sayings and proverbs deeper and to write a final research paper. The transnational relations and cultural exchange, which took place between the countries throughout the history was studied for better understanding of the proverbs and also their resemblance, although from different countries.

The proverbs and sayings were presented on an internet page to be accessible to anyone interested in the subject.
Results
The final result of the method is an International Collection in digital form with proverbs and sayings from different Danube countries, along with the explanation and research papers on the socio-cultural context in which they were initially created.
As in the Danube Region the proverbs are of an actual relevance and importance, the visitors of the website get a view of history which is shared by the Europeans and the similarities between our nations.
Problems
The translations of certain words, phrases or contexts, as well as national sayings from the proverbs can be problematic.

The proverbs and sayings gathered could have any other main theme.
The cooperation could take place between any countries or regions with a common history.
There could be small stories instead of proverbs.
