Short Description

The purpose of the method is an International Photo Competition, divided in three areas – Bread, Wine and Herbs. The contest is aimed at every individual who wishes to show the role which one of the three topics have in relation to their daily life, or to their countries’ living cultural customs and religious traditions.

Full Description

The Digital Photo Competition aimed at fostering understanding of the cultural traditions of the various countries and groups in the Danubian countries, using the means of ‘Bread’, ’Wine’ and ‘Herbs’ as connectors between people. People from the Danube Region answered the call inviting them to participate and have sent to the contest organiser a maximum of three photos showing the importance of one of the three topics for their daily and cultural life.

The photos were then uploaded on the competition’s website in order to inform others about the customs and traditions in that area. As an aftermath of the initiative, a symposium was organized by the coordinating institution, where the winners also took part.

Then they sent a maximum of three images, original ones, which weren’t yet published by them elsewhere. The participants were divided into two subgroups – up to 18 and adults.

The photos have shown the living traditions of the respective country in relation to the given topics. The participants have also sent the date when the photo was made and the location of the photo, as well as the theme which they have chosen.

Very important is a written permission from the author/copyright owner of the photo that the copyright owner as well as the persons shown on the photo allow the use and the publication of the photo.

Let’s taste it!” Symposium, where they could see their work, and take part in other activities which were organized by the coordinating institution. This prize included travel and accommodation.
